Bathroom Refresh: Before & After

Looking for primary bathroom inspiration? You’re in the right spot!

We recently completed a major overhaul for a primary bathroom and I’m thrilled with how this project turned out. Our client came to us looking for a fresh take on the space with multiple problems to tackle:

  • low sink height that felt out of proportion for the space

  • small square footage (but a large shower footprint thankfully)

  • awkward second vanity

  • tired, beige color palette

For this refresh, the client wanted a Serena & Lily-inspired coastal look. The white vanity, brass accents and gray and white tile patterns made it all come together!

We used tile everywhere. (Pro tip: If you go for this look, be sure to seal your grout and use a cleaner like Simple Green that doesn’t break down the silicone like an ammonia-based product would.)

We replaced the awkward second vanity with a makeup counter and floating shelves for additional storage. I love the medium blue tone of this second vanity to bring a bit of personality in this serene space.

This bathroom also had a large window which posed a challenge. We wanted a mirror over the vanity but we didn’t want to block the gorgeous natural light from the window. Our solution: hand the mirror in front of the window! This is a unique hack that allows you to keep the light while still getting the function you need.

Now this bathroom is a place you look forward to getting ready each morning!
